International Labour Day/May Day (1st May)- Also known as Workers’ Day, is a celebration of the working classes and labourers that is promoted by the International Labour Movement, held on May Day, an ancient European Spring Festival.
Cinco de Mayo (5th May) – What started with the Mexican Army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, has now become associated with the festival of Mexican-American culture. People all across America and Mexico celebrate this festival as the friendship between their cultures.
Victoria Day (18th May) – It is a Federal Canadian holiday celebrated on Monday preceding May 25, in the honour Queen Victoria. It was declared a holiday by the Canadian government in 1845 and when Queen Victoria died in 1901, it was officially named Victoria Day.
Eid Al Fitr (23th & 24th May) – Celebrated by Muslims all over the world to denote the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
Memorial Day (25th May) – A solemn day of memory for everyone who perished serving in the American Armed Forced, to honour the deceased who died serving their nation.
