Pioneer Day is an official occasion celebrated on July 24 in the American territory of Utah, with specific festivals occurring in areas of encompassing states settled by Mormon pioneers. It honors the passage of Brigham Young and the main gathering of Mormon pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Parades, firecrackers, rodeos, and different merriments help recognize the occasion. On July 4, numerous neighborhoods and all state-run government offices and various organizations closed on Pioneer Day.
Orangeman’s Day
Orangeman’s Day celebrates because the Battle of the Boyne battled in Ireland on July 1, 1690, by King William of Orange against King James II. The fight originated before the change to the Gregorian schedule in 1752. This year it was celebrated on July 12, 2020.
